|
2. I notice you don’t have a customer service telephone number, why not? |
| At The TravelCube we believe in customer value; we trade solely as an online business with the aim of providing excellent value for money and a great customer experience. Offering a call centre means outsourcing to a specialist (like most of our competitors) who charge you hefty national or premium rate calling charge per minute, and then charge us for the privilege of handling your call. More costs for us, inevitably means charging more for our hotels. Our fundamental belief here at The TravelCube is that the customer comes first, and that’s why we believe that by offering a solely online service we can help you by charging less! We’re always at hand via our contact us page, and will respond via email within 24hrs! |
|
3. So, does that mean I can organise and amend my own booking? |
| Absolutely, remember that we’re here for you. Our website has been designed so you can take control of your own booking, and all you have to do is log in and make the changes you require. There are certain things we charge for, but we don’t hide anything, so check the terms and conditions pages for details on this. But always remember we’re always here to help if you have problems, just email us and we guarantee to respond in 24hrs! |
|
4. Do I need to confirm my booking with the hotel personally or does The TravelCube take care of this? |
| Every part of the booking process is done by us, that’s what you pay us to do, and that’s what we do! There’s no need to worry about contacting the hotel, rest assured you’re in safe hands. |
|
5. Are the rates per person or per room per night? What about local taxes? |
| The rate you see is the rate you pay! The rates quoted at www.thetravelcube.com are for the whole room (every inch of it!), and we do not base any of our hotels on a per person per night basis. All of our hotels include taxes |
|
6. What is the booking voucher? |
| The booking voucher is your confirmation, and must be presented at the hotel on arrival. So remember, before you leave for your hotel, print it off! |
|
7. OK, but what if my voucher doesn’t arrive or I lose it? |
| No problem! Firstly, go to www.thetravelcube.com and login to out ‘customer login’ area, from there you should be able to see your booking and print off another voucher. Alternatively, if it’s not there, or your having difficulties, email us at letushelp@thetravelcube.com. |
|
8. When is my reservation confirmed? |
| Once you’ve booked with us your booking details will be presented on screen. You will then be sent an email confirmation and this will include your hotel voucher (remember to print this). If you do not receive an email, log in on the site and check the booking, and from there you can print the voucher. If in doubt let us help, via the handy email letushelp@thetravelcube.com. |
|
9. What forms of Credit Cards, Debit Cards and so on are accepted? |
| At www.thetravelcube.com we accept all major payment cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, Maestro & Solo. |
|
10. I notice you use Paypal to clear your payments, do I need to be Paypal registered? |
| Not in the slightest. You have the option of logging in, or paying for your booking like any traditional credit card transaction. A PayPal account is not required! |
| 11. Isn’t it unusual to use Paypal as your card clearing service? |
| Absolutely not! Paypal is becoming one of the largest payment gateways in the world, & probably the most cost effective. We like to be transparent at The TravelCube so let us tell you exactly why we use PayPal! Payment clearing services charge different amounts for the type of card you use, with credit cards being charged at a premium; traditional services charge from 2.5-6% (a cost we have to pay). Many major online tour operators such as MyTravel.co.uk and ThomasCook.co.uk charge you for using your credit card because of the costs incurred for processing the booking, however, we believe that we should keep your costs to a minimum regardless of how you pay (Credit or Debit card). Paypal has a fixed rate for whatever card you use, and we absorb this cost on your behalf. You will never be charged for using any kind of payment card on our site! |
| 12. Do I make a deposit or have to pay the whole balance upfront? |
| We have to take all of the money upfront due to the deals we have with the hotels. By doing this we can drive down the rate you pay, and we can save you money! |
| 13. What's your privacy policy? |
| We have a dedicated policy to prevent misuse of your personal details, and we promise never to disclose your information to third parties. See our 'Privacy Policy' page for more details. |
| 14. What if I encounter exceptional circumstances like my flight is delayed? |
| Always try and put your flight number in the special requests section of the booking, this will be passed onto the hotel for their information. If you're delayed unexpectedly, don't panic, try and contact the hotel directly. |
| 15. The hotels are very cheap, how can this be, will they get cheaper perhaps? |
| All of the deals we have secured are at the best possible price. As we guarantee to fill an allotted amount of rooms we can effectively drive down the price we pay and pass this onto you, this can be up to 70% in some cases. Room rates vary on market condition and can change daily, rates are as likely to increase as they are to decrease. |
| 16. So the price I see is honestly the price I pay? |
| Absolutely. I know our prices can be shockingly cheap sometimes, but what the total price says on screen is the total price you pay! |
| 17. Is there anything else I need to know |
| Only that you should always read our terms and conditions, as these are part of our legal contract with you. Ts & Cs are for your protection, they give you rights, and let you know where you stand. |
